Calendula, also called “Pot Marigold,” is also an excellent skin healer, both inside and out. Here this sunny flower has been infused in local Sunflower oil to extract its healing properties. Use Calendula oil externally on scrapes, eczema, and dry and chafed skin. A small amount can be rubbed onto the face or body after a shower, and can be massaged in to help moisturize, replenish skin, and reduce scarring. Calendula is antimicrobial, and can also be helpful in fungal skin infections such as cradle cap. Use caution if allergic to the Aster family.
